ABOUT BMC
The Bhakti Meditation Centre (BMC), a non-profit, charitable organisation, is the Australasian arm of Shri Maharaj Ji’s worldwide organisation, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat.
The aim of BMC is to provide education as to the true meaning of spiritual life, through the profound and beautiful philosophy of bhakti yoga, as presented by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Maharaj. Education means learning both the theoretical and practical sides of spiritual life: through BMC, Swami Govindananda not only teaches philosophy, but practically assists people to experience the true meaning of spiritual life.
BMC is based in Sydney, and has centres in Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. Swami Govindananda travels to each of these centres on a regular basis, both working with existing groups, and introducing himself to the public through public talks and as guest speaker to corporates and other community groups. Swami Ji’s talks are fun, profound, entertaining, enlightening and inspiring, and many people in Australia, New Zealand and beyond have been helped immeasurably by Swami Ji's talks, meditation programs and spiritual advice.
BMC holds a special place within Shri Maharaj Ji’s spiritual family. While Shri Maharaj Ji has trained many Indian Swamis to teach the philosophy of bhakti yoga, BMC is the only organisation headed by a Western Swami, and established to teach bhakti yoga especially for Westerners. In this way, BMC presents the eternal philosophy of bhakti yoga in a way that is relevant to you & me as we live our everyday lives.
